Our Values
Our Vision
At Mahoe, we are guided by the values of collaboration, communication, and compassion. These principles inform every aspect of our work—from how we support our clients to how we build partnerships and innovate in care delivery.
Empowering every individual to thrive through personalized, collaborative, and accessible mental health care—your mind, your voice, your journey, our support.
Our vision is to create a world where mental health care is a shared, empowering journey— personalized, collaborative, and accessible for all—so every individual can thrive with resilience. We believe that mental wellness is not a one-size-fits-all approach, and we are committed to walking alongside our clients with empathy, respect, and culturally responsive care.
Our Strength Is Our Team
At Mahoe, we’re proud of our multidisciplinary team—a group of passionate professionals who each bring their own area of expertise to the table. We know that no one person can do it all, which is why we work together to offer well-rounded, personalized care.
Our integrated approach means that when needed, our team collaborates across disciplines to ensure you receive the most comprehensive, coordinated, and effective support possible. Whether it’s complex trauma, family dynamics, youth mental health, or culturally specific concerns, we work together to deliver care that’s both personalized and holistic.
It’s this shared commitment to care, community, and collaboration that makes our work so meaningful.

A Message from the Founder
I’m Lyn Williams.
Founder of Mahoe Mental Health Services. With over 20 years of experience supporting children, youth, and families through life’s challenges, I’ve come to understand that mental health care must be more than just accessible—it must be inclusive, collaborative, and deeply personal.
My journey began with early lessons in business and a lifelong passion for community work. In 2009, I founded a youth empowerment charity that helped me see the transformative power of education, advocacy, and connection. That experience shaped my belief that mental health support must reflect the diverse identities, cultures, and lived experiences of the people we serve.
At Mahoe, we are committed to community collaboration—working alongside hospitals, schools, social services, and grassroots organizations to provide an integrated and holistic approach to care. We believe healing happens not in isolation, but in connection—with others, with culture, and with self.
We also recognize that every person’s identity is unique. That’s why our team is trained to provide support that is culturally responsive, anti-oppressive, and grounded in respect for each individual’s story. Your identity matters here. Your voice matters. And your journey is honored every step of the way.
Thank you for trusting us to walk with you.
Warmly,
Lyn Williams

Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge with humility and respect that Mahoe Mental Health Services Ltd. operates on the traditional territory of many nations, including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. This land is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. We also recognize that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit.
We honour the enduring presence and deep traditional knowledge of Indigenous peoples and acknowledge the spirit of peace, friendship, and respect that this treaty represents. We are grateful every day to live and work on this land and are committed to ongoing learning, reconciliation, and relationship-building with Indigenous communities.
African Canadian History of Enslavement Acknowledgement
We also recognize the painful and often overlooked history of enslavement, racial segregation, and systemic marginalization of people of African descent in Canada. The legacy of slavery continues to shape the lived experiences of Black Canadians today, contributing to persistent inequalities in child welfare, education, housing, employment, health care, criminal justice, and beyond.
Canada has yet to fully acknowledge or educate the public about this history and its ongoing impact. Despite these challenges, Black Canadians have made extraordinary contributions to every facet of Canadian society. Recognizing this history is essential to building a more just, equitable, and inclusive future—one free from discrimination and systemic racism.
